Nishiki Market was high on my to-do list while in Kyoto, and our hostel was conveniently just down the road. We indulged in pickled cucumbers on sticks, torched scallops, strawberry daifuku, crumbed chicken, and fish cakes—each bite was so delicious I wished for two stomachs!
