Cape Tribulation is where nature reigns supreme—where cassowaries roam freely, crocodiles patrol the seas, and goannas and spiders remind you that you're truly in the wild. While exploring, Coco and I stumbled upon a cassowary taking a stroll, and we were completely unprepared for the sheer size and presence of this prehistoric bird. It was a humbling experience that made us feel small in the best way possible. Not long after, we discovered an ancient fig tree, its massive buttress roots gripping the riverbank like something out of a prehistoric world. This corner of Far North Queensland felt like stepping back in time, where every moment was a reminder of nature's raw power and beauty.
