
























In Omihachiman, Shiga, we stayed in a traditional house with the lovliest host, where we slept on tatami mats, fully immersing ourselves in the local way of life. The morning was spent wandering through the neighborhood, admiring the charming streets and the Japanese knack for using their gardens both beautifully and resourcefully. It was a serene and authentic and highlighted the simplicity and elegance of traditional living.
